Privacy policy

The short version: we collect what we need to quote your job and get back to you, we keep it in our job management system, and we do not sell it to anyone.

Who we are

What we collect

When you fill in a quote form on this website we ask for:

• Your name
• Your phone number and email address
• The address or suburb where the work is
• What you need done, roughly how big it is, and anything else you tell us
• Any photographs or plans you choose to upload

We also record which page of this website your enquiry came from, and, if you arrived from an advertisement, the tracking code attached to that click. That tells us which advertising is actually producing work, so we are not spending money on advertising that does nothing.

We do not ask for and do not want your date of birth, your bank details or any government identification. If you send them to us anyway, we delete them.

Why we collect it

To quote and carry out your job, and to contact you about it. That is the whole of it. We do not send marketing emails and we do not run a mailing list.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry passes through a small number of services we use to run the business:

• ServiceM8 — our job management system. Your details become a client record and a job card so the crew knows where to go and what to do.
• Resend — sends the alert to our office and the automatic confirmation back to you.
• Vercel — hosts this website and handles the form submission.
• Google — if you arrived from a Google advertisement, Google is told that a click resulted in an enquiry. Google is not told your name, your address or what you asked for.

Beyond those, we share your details with nobody. We do not sell your information, we do not trade it, and we do not pass it to other trades or to lead-generation companies.

Cookies and website measurement

This site uses cookies and similar measurement only for two purposes: to understand which pages people use, and to connect an enquiry back to the advertisement that produced it. We do not use them to build a profile of you or to follow you around other websites for advertising.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The quote form will still work.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry becomes a job, we keep the records for as long as we need them for warranty, tax and insurance purposes — generally seven years, as our accountant requires.

If your enquiry does not become a job, we keep it while it is still live and useful, and you are welcome to ask us to delete it sooner.

Keeping it safe

Access to our systems is limited to the people in the business who need it. The services listed above are established providers with their own security arrangements. No system is perfect, and we would rather say that plainly than promise otherwise.

Seeing or correcting what we hold

Ring or email us and ask. We will tell you what we have about you, correct anything that is wrong, and delete it if you would like us to and we are not required to keep it. There is no charge and no form to fill in.

Children

This website is for people arranging concreting work. We do not knowingly collect information about children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. We will not make a quiet change and hope you do not notice.

If something has gone wrong

Ring us first — most things are a misunderstanding and are sorted out in a phone call. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
